Panel Discussions
In place of a keynote speaker, this year's conference will feature two presentations during the first morning session.
Strategies and Mindsets for Learning New Technologies
Because technologies change so rapidly, knowing how to use a specific technology is perhaps less important than knowing how to continually learn new technologies in the future. This session will help attendees develop strategies and mindsets they can implement on their own to facilitate their learning of new technologies.
Interactivity in the Classroom: PowerPoint, Movies, and SMARTBoards
Join three interns who received COllaborative Use of Rigorous Technology in Teaching (COURTT) mini grants for summer work on projects to be used in their internship year will share their completed lessons. Learn from these interns who combined video clips with PowerPoint for economics classes, and developed interactive SMARTboard lessons for 4th grade and high school physics. They will demonstrate use of the software and hardware and share their resources and experiences with participants for their own implementation.
