Gary A. Cziko is professor of educational psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-
Champaign. He has done research on first and second language acquisition and reading;
bilingual education in Canada, the United States., Nigeria and Sudan; and language proficiency
testing. He is currently preparing a book on "universal selection theory" which provides a
unifying framework for understanding all forms of adaptation, learning, and knowledge
growth. His current research interests include the application of perceptual control theory to
aspects of language learning and teaching. |
