Alan L. Ginsburg Director, Planning and Evaluation Service, U.S. Department of Education
Dr. Alan L. Ginsburg is
director of the Planning and Evaluation Service, the office responsible for
overseeing planning, evaluation, and international activities within the U.S.
Department of Education. Dr. Ginsburg
coordinates development of the Department’s Strategic Plan and program
evaluation activities. In 1991, he received the
Distinguished Presidential Rank Service Award, the federal government’s highest
award to its civil service employees. In 1993, he received the American
Evaluation Association’s Gunnar Myrdal award for his contributions to
evaluation improvement. Dr. Ginsburg also chaired the 18-nation Education
Forum of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. (APEC). Dr. Ginsburg received his
Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan. |
